On Tuesday January 28th I had the pleasure of viewing Rivers and Tides a movie following artist Andy Goldsworthy around watching how his could take movement or form from the earth using that as his inspiration to create a master piece. What is sad, yet beautiful at the same time is that is art work fades away which makes it organic in itself its a blessing to see it while it there because it will eventually fade away as nature does. The most beautiful piece in this movie was when he watched the movement of the wave pools create a circular motion and from this movement he got the idea to create one out of drift wood. This beautiful master piece was a pleasure to watch him build, and strategically placing and building up the wood in a dome shape. Eventually when he finished the tide rose and washed away his works and all his did was watch and except that his work belongs to the land and doesn't need to be anywhere else.
